New Hire Announcement
Name: Marc Roy -- Vice President of Client Integration and New Ventures
Bio: As the new Vice President of Client Integration and New Ventures, Marc Roy brings more than 20 years of industry experience and senior level leadership to BDA, including leading multiple distributor companies on ASI's Top 40 Distributors List and appearing on its Power 50 rankings of the most influential executives in the promotional products industry. Under his leadership, those companies were voted Canada's National Distributor of the Year for a total of 10 years by the Promotional Products Professionals of Canada (PPPC).
What You Bring to the Team:
Why BDA?
That's easy, the people and the focus on people! BDA has become a leader by not losing sight of what's important: its clients and associates alike.
What Do You Hope to Accomplish in Your New Role?
My first priority is to set a foundation for BDA's global growth strategy, building on the recent acquisitions in London, Manchester, and Paris. I've been given great clay to work with and look forward to propelling the company forward into new markets in and beyond EMEA.
Hidden Talent:
I like to build things like fences, decks, etc. I wanted to be an architect when I was a kid. I recently gave my garage a complete "make over" and absolutely loved doing most of the work myself. Not bad with a chain saw either.
Childhood Nickname:
Roysie. As a kid playing hockey in Canada everybody gets a nick name. It was confirmed years later when playing in a charity event with Hall of Famer Larry Robinson as he stood at the white board between periods and yelled out, "Roysie, when I get the puck you take off and I'll hit you!" I must confess that I was a little nervous about it.
When You're Not Pinch-Hitting at BDA:
Golf, hockey, and, most of all, I enjoy spending time with wife and our two Huskies...I know, how Canadian is that! Contrary to popular belief our two "princesses" sit in the sled and are not a mode of transportation.
What Would Jay Say About You?
"Marc's incredible breadth of industry experience and knack for building high performing, customer-focused teams make him an essential part of BDA's leadership. He's someone who has left a strong, positive impact on the industry and will continue to do so from within BDA."
