Hulu reached out to BDA to help organize a surprise-and-delight promotional giveaway before the Little Fires Everywhere series premiere. The studio wanted to excite their viewers about the new show.
BDA worked with P.F. Candle Co. and a Hulu-approved factory to produce a custom Little Fires Everywhere candle and matchbox in a price point that met the client's needs. Next, BDA developed custom messaging on the candle and matchbox to add a premium feel to the promotion. 1,500 units were delivered to the client on-time, before COVID-19 lockdowns came into effect.
Celebrities, influencers and viewers shared posts of their gift on social media driving interest about the show. The promotion generated over 50K social media engagements. Additionally, as another channel for audience activation, Reese Witherspoon promoted the candle and matchbox with a copy of the best-selling novel in one of her Reese's Book Club giveaways.
