POWER A, the consumer electronics division of BDA, offered select members of the video game media a peek at our upcoming product line at last week's CES 2011 in Las Vegas.
We set up shop in a suite at the MGM Grand and invited industry experts to demo our newest controllers for Xbox, PS3 and Wii.
"It's important that we get in front of the media during this critical time of year and establish our plan for 2011. It allows us to receive critical feedback before we go into tooling, testing and ultimately production," said John Moore, VP of product development and marketing for POWER A.
Reviewers praised POWER A's new Mini Controllers, Air Flo Controllers and Nintendo 3DS, LEGO and Pokémon products, which are all slated to hit stores this summer or fall.
"The media has embraced POWER A as a real player in the video game space and acknowledged the quality of our products," Moore said. "There was a lot of excitement surrounding our offerings for 2011."
Here's a roundup of the POWER A press coverage coming out of CES 2011. For more, follow POWER A on Facebook.
• "POWER A rocked our Buyer's Guide back in November when we checked out their POWER A Pro Pack mini Wiimote and nunchuck controller… These new controllers felt solid in the hand with bit more heft than the Pro Pack Mini, but still with that reduced size that just fits perfectly in your palm."

• "I liked their Mini Pro controllers, which are also coming to both consoles. I tried the PS3 version with a bit of Gran Turismo 5 today and I liked the smaller size for my hands. The analog sticks were also nice, with their thumb indentions and grip points."

• "POWER A has a nice line of third party controllers and accessories for those that might want to save a few bucks and get some good quality items to use... Look for POWER A's range of products to be released throughout the year."
Gaming Nexus
• "PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 controllers with fans and vents that blow air across your hands while you play? Turns out that's a satisfying feeling, especially for some of us who sometimes suffer from nervous palm sweats when playing Call of Duty: Black Ops against highly skilled teenagers."
Kotaku
• "Respect is earned in this industry, and POWER A's burgeoning line of accessories left a great impression on our normally apprehensive souls."
Digital Chumps
• "While visiting with Power A, we also got to catch a glimpse at new variations of the Lego Wii Remote that we've come to love from last year. Originally, the Lego Wii Remote was a Toys R Us-only product, but for 2011 you'll be able to find them in other retailers and in more colors."
Tom's Hardware
• "POWER A is certainly positioning themselves to be a third-party peripheral powerhouse in 2011."
