Getting the whole family together can be a challenge, especially considering everyone’s unique interests. One group activity that’s more popular than ever is video gaming. According to the Entertainment Software Association:
• 72 percent of American households play computer or video games
• 42 percent of all game players are women
• The average age of the most frequent game purchaser is 41 years old
Today’s wide array of family-friendly video games blends education and entertainment, and encourages communication and cooperation. Moms and dads have the opportunity to reinforce good manners, sportsmanship, teamwork, taking turns and other social skills—all in the context of game play. From puzzles to action-adventure to sports to music, there are suitable games for all interests and all ages.
POWER A, a consumer products division of BDA, aims to enhance the gaming experience with a line of controllers that fit the entire family.
