BDA Spring Fling Raises Funds for Rivkin Center

Spring Fling at BDA is all about fun, fundraising and friendly competition among coworkers.
The main event is the BDA Olympics. It’s an afternoon of oversized tricycle and office chair racing, “hip-a-dee hopping” and “warehouse walking.”
Basically, it’s where we separate the slightly coordinated from the uncoordinated.
The purpose of Spring Fling is to raise money for the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research. And in true BDA fashion, we make it as entertaining as possible.
• Our Consumer Products, Sports and Corporate Promotions teams hosted a trivia night.
• Sales Ops tempted us with home-cooked lunches.
• Marketing Alliances sold tickets to BDA Night with Seattle Mariners.
• The warehouse crew ran a recycling drive and joined HR and Import for a car wash.
• Finance hosted a high-stakes poker tournament and put on a raffle.
• Programs, Inside Sales and Product Development staged the popular BDA Idol singing competition.
To date, BDA employees have raised more than $30,000 this year. That number will double, as the company matches all funds raised by the staff. In 11 years of fundraising for the Rivkin Center, BDA has donated more than $500,000.
