Designer I

• Can-do attitude and a desire to have fun and be successful in a work-hard/play-hard environment
• AA degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent)
• 0-2 years graphic design industry experience
• Portfolio demonstrating creativity and skill relative to experience
• Strong background in Photoshop

• Strong organization, communication, time management skills required
• Ability to work closely and effectively with other members of design group and clients
• Proficient with Mac software: Freehand, Photoshop, QuarkXPress (Illustrator and InDesign is also preferred)
• Proficient with standard Mac hardware systems (G5 or above, scanners, color printers, electronic communication/methods of transfer)
• Knowledge of the internet
• Maintain exceptional attendance and punctuality.
• Flexible; works well with change in a face-paced environment.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with BD&A employees and outside vendors and clients.
• Effectively demonstrates ability to take direction.
• Exhibits high level of customer service to ensure smooth operations and satisfied customers/clients (promotes positive image of the CSD).

Basic Function

• Serve as a productive member within Creative Services Department (CSD) in areas of design and production.

Creative Responsibilities

• Work closely with Senior Designer to ensure mechanical and production standards are consistent with the goals of projects.
• Produce and demonstrate excellence in all beginning design and production phases through project life.
• Responsible for ensuring proper billings and timely reporting.
