BDA To Host Third-Annual Compliance Conference In China With Focus On Product Safety
Company to Outline Stringent Best Practices Model and Push For Safety Standards Beyond Any in The Promotional Products Industry
WOODINVILLE, Wash. – March 3, 2010 – Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BDA), the nation's premier Merchandise AgencySM, will hold its third-annual Compliance Partnership Conference in Shenzhen, China, on Friday, March 5 at the Nan Hai Hotel. The focal-point of the conference will be safety, quality, and new best practices not seen with any other company in the industry.
The all-day conference will bring together stakeholders involved in the entire manufacturing and distribution process to unveil a safety roadmap for 2010 and beyond. Administrators from the BDA Import team will layout new procedures for manufacturing and share how BDA's factory audits benefit clients and ultimately consumers. To further showcase the company's commitment to best practices, BDA invited the worldwide leading provider of quality and safety solutions, Intertek, to educate attendees on recent domestic and international product safety regulation changes and how they impact projects run for BDA .
"BDA has established a quarter century legacy of being first and it's with that spirit that we're breaking new ground in China with the most comprehensive regulations on quality ever deployed in a promotional products factory," said Ron Alessandrini, BDA's Vice President of Import Services. "We're deeply invested in China, and have spent years creating a manufacturing presence based on social responsibility, quality, and aggressive turnaround times. This year's compliance conference brings together the brightest minds in the business to ensure only the safest products leave through our factory doors."
Product quality and safety is at the core of every BDA project and initiative. In January of 2009, BDA along with other leading members of the promotional products industry came together to create the first consortium dedicated to setting unmatched quality and safety standards. The Quality Certification Alliance (QCA) to date has certified the manufacturing process of BDA and 9 supplier companies.
In addition to the quality and safety sessions at this year's conference, BDA will again host a vendor summit showcase. The summit was very popular at the 2009 Compliance Conference, and will provide an even bigger opportunity this year for vendors to interact with the BDA Import team members and collaborate on creating the best new merchandise lineup for 2010.
