BDA Promotes Industry Veteran to Lead Sales for Consumer Products Division

Lucky Evani Appointed Vice President of Sales for Rapidly Growing Video Gaming Business

Woodinville, Wash. – March 18, 2009 – Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BDA), the nation’s premier Merchandise AgencySM and a leading manufacturer of licensed retail consumer electronics accessories, announced today the appointment of Lucky Evani to vice president of sales of its Consumer Products Division (CPD).  Evani will direct all aspects of sales for the division, including strategic planning, licensing and channel management, business development and the worldwide launch of consumer electronics accessories products.

In his new role, Evani will focus on bringing value to BDA’s long-term relationships with major industry hardware and software licensors, including Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, as well as creating compelling channel promotions and other opportunities within the company’s major retail outlets.  Evani will continue to drive market share by building on BDA’s reputation as an industry innovator, which the licensing giant earned by pioneering the now ubiquitous video game “Starter Kit” accessory pack.

“Lucky’s industry experience and strategic thought process will be a valuable addition to BDA’s executive team,” said Eric Bensussen, president of BDA.  “Since joining BDA, Lucky has played an instrumental role in turning the Consumer Products Division into the fastest growing segment of BDA’s business.  Under his leadership, I am confident BDA is even better positioned to create value for major retailers, hardware manufacturers and software publishers by bringing top-selling merchandise to market.”

Evani joined BDA in 2006 as director of sales, and was promoted to divisional vice president of sales in early 2008.  During that time, he was in charge of new business development and was a key contributor to the dramatic growth and success of the division.  Prior to joining BDA, Evani spent 13 years at Toys “R” Us in various field and corporate positions, including video game buyer for the entire chain. Evani earned his bachelor’s degree in General Business Administration from Michigan State University.

“The video game market has great potential in the coming years, and BDA is committed to bringing our retail partners around the world a portfolio of accessories that place a strong emphasis on value, safety and reliability,” said Evani.  “We develop products that are tested to the system manufacturers’ standards, and yet are highly targeted to trends and consumer tastes.  The combination of authentic, safe and innovative products is what drives BDA’s success in this highly competitive marketplace.”
