BD&A Raises $100,000 for Marsha Rivkin Center

Woodinville Based Merchandise Agency Raises Funds in Support of Ovarian Cancer Research

Woodinville, Wash., – July 2, 2007 – Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BD&A), the nation’s premier Merchandise AgencySM, today announced that it has raised a total of $100,000 in 2007 in support of the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research. The mission of the Marsha Rivkin Center is to save lives and reduce suffering through improved treatment, early detection, and prevention of ovarian cancer. BD&A has been supporting the Marsha Rivkin Center for eight years and the company founders, Eric Bensussen and Jay Deutsch, have been actively involved in engaging their community and employees to raise money and drive awareness for the center.

“Throughout BD&A’s 24-year history, we have been deeply committed to giving back to our local community,” said Eric Bensussen, President of BD&A. “Ovarian cancer has touched both my family and Jay’s, so we both feel a personal connection with this organization. The Marsha Rivkin Center is doing vitally important work, both in its effort to find a cure for ovarian cancer and in supporting the brave women battling this appalling disease. We are honored to help support their mission and will continue to work alongside the center until a cure is found.”
To raise funds, BD&A organizes a number of fun company events that involve BD&A employees and the local community. BD&A’s “Spring Fling” event is an annual highlight in which BD&A employees turn the company headquarters parking lot into a carnival-like atmosphere and pay for chances to dunk their bosses in a huge water tank, purchase barbeque lunches and other treats, and take part in raffles and contests, among other activities.
