Merchandise Agency Raises the Bar in Charitable Contributions

BD&A generously gives $100,000 for ovarian cancer research

Woodinville, Wash., – August 8, 2006 – BD&A, the nation’s Merchandise AgencySM, has again displayed its commitment to philanthropy with their most recent company-driven donation of $100,000 to the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research. This year’s gift marks the single largest donation for BD&A to the center since BD&A’s commitment to the Rivkin Center seven years ago.

“Each year I am amazed and overwhelmed by the growth of the BD&A Spring Fling,” stated Dr. Saul Rivkin, Rivkin Center founder & Chairman of the board of directors.  “We are honored to have the Rivkin Center be the recipient of this heartfelt generosity.  Their dedication to raising funds for research is a true testament to the generosity of each and every BD&A employee.”

BD&A’s annual Spring Fling fundraiser began in early Spring of this year. The month-long celebration of fundraising and cancer awareness activities incorporates all 350 BD&A team members worldwide in a series of employee created and implemented fundraising activities.  With team member events ranging from miniature golf tournaments to pot lucks to auctions to dunk tanks with the executive team, the weeks-long series of events highlights BD&A’s annual corporate citizenship and philanthropy drive.

“We are truly grateful to the BD&A employees who each year put their heart, soul and creativity into raising funds for the Marsha Rivkin Center,” commented Tami Dargey, Rivkin Center Executive Director.  “The annual BD&A Spring Fling has become a considerable fundraising source for the Center, and allows us to continue vital research.”

“This is the seventh straight year BD&A employees have helped raise money for the Marsha Rivkin Center, a charity that is extremely close to my heart,” said Eric Bensussen, president of BD&A. “I could not be prouder of their hard work and selfless dedication year after year. It truly illustrates BD&A’s passion for everything we do.”
